The Swiss Statistical Society (SSS) propagates application and development of statistics in Switzerland, represents the interest of professionals working in this field in relation to practice, research and education and contributes to the recognition of statistics as a scientific discipline in its own right.

The Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHS) serves as an umbrella to more than 60 scientific societies. Around 30'000 individuals are as members of their scientific societies linked to the SAHS and thus form the largest network within the humanities and social sciences.
The SAHS is recognized by the Swiss Federation as an agency promoting scientific research. It is committed to facilitate researchers’ networking, to promote its disciplines and its young researchers, and to foster the dialogue between science and society. The SAHS is a member of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences.
