Improve, connect, understand: Data and statistics in the age of artificial intelligence

Whether in research, business, public administration or society – data and statistics form the basis of our decisions and are a cornerstone of our democracy. Technological advances have increased data availability and the potential for data analysis and processing in unprecedented ways. Machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) offer tremendous opportunities, but their applications also raise technical, ethical and legal questions.
